Kings introduce ‘excited' Thomas Robinson

The Kings rolled out their new prized possession on Saturday,introducing Thomas Robinson to the media at a press conference.Sacramentoselected Robinson fifth overall in the NBA Draft on Thursday.Im just excited to get out here and start working and getready for the season, Robinson said.The 6-foot, 10-inch power forward will likely form apowerful front court duo with center DeMarcus Cousins. Robinson scored 17.7points and grabbed 11.9 rebounds per game during his junior year with Kansas before declaringfor the draft. He helped lead Kansasto the Final Four before the Jayhawks fell in the nationaltitle game.Robinson was named the Big XII Player of the Year last yearas well as a consensus first-team All-American and was considered one of themost NBA-ready players available in this years draft class.Robinson said he is excited to be a member of the Kingsorganization in part because of what he had heard about the fan base.Ive heard a lot about the fans, Robinson said. Theyrepretty similar to Kansas,so Im looking forward to that.Although Robinson may be able to immediately contribute tothe Kings, he admitted that he still has room for improvement in all aspects ofhis game except rebounding.Im nowhere finished as a player, Robinson said. I dontdo anything perfect outside of rebounding. Theres a list of other things thatI still could get great at that Im just good at right now.
