The Sacramento Kings have taken their training camp on the road, spending their first week of camp in Colorado.
The Sacramento Bee is reporting the team is in Colorado Springs at the United States Olympic Training Center to improve the team's conditioning in high altitude.
Colorado Springs is over 6,000 feet above sea level.

In addition to the tougher conditions the team will experience in Colorado, forming bonds within the lockerroom is something that head coach Keith Smart hopes to develop with his team.

"You want them to focus on just the team at the moment," Smart said. "They don't have anyone else out here they have to focus with. They have to focus on just the team."
Smart said he noticed a lack of camaraderie between teammates last season, something he wanted to address early in training camp.

"When things went bad last year a couple of times, we shied away from each other," Marcus Thornton said. "To be a good team, to be the team we want to be, we can't do that. When times get hard, we have to come together and be a team all the time."

Jimmer Fredette may have the biggest advantage in Colorado, though.
The second-year guard spent the offseason training in Denver, with an elevation of over 5,000 feet.
