SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay and guard Rajon Rondo each underwent precautionary MRIs today at Kaiser Permanente in Roseville.
The procedures indicated a right shoulder strain for Gay and a sprained right thumb for Rondo (who was previously listed on injury reports with right thumb tendonitis). Gay suffered his injury during the waning stages of Friday night’s game versus the Clippers while Rondo had been experiencing thumb soreness for about two weeks.
Both players are listed as doubtful for tonight’s contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder and day-to-day moving forward.
