
SACRAMENTO -- Needing a win in the worst way, the Sacramento Kings (2-7) outlasted the Detroit Pistons (5-3) by a final of 101-92 Wednesday night at Sleep Train Arena, snapping their six-game losing streak.
Rajon Rondo was a wizard on the court, dropping in an incredible 14-point, 15-assist, 11-rebound triple-double while playing all 48 minutes.

Demarcus Cousins got it going early and often for the Kings. The All-Star big finished with 33 points and nine rebounds while knocking down 4-of-5 from long range. Rudy Gay also had a breakout performance, dropping in 25 points on 10-for-14 shooting from the field, while Omri Casspi provided nine points and 11 big rebounds off the Kings' bench.
Big men Marcus Morris and Andre Drummond led the Pistons' charge, posting 16 points and eight rebounds and 14 points and 17 rebounds, respectively. Guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 15 in the loss.
STANDOUT PERFORMER
For the second straight game, Rondo played all 48 minutes for George Karl. The 29-year-old point guard whipped the ball all over the court and led his team to victory on his way to his second triple-double of the season and 24th of his career.

This game was over Tuesday morning when the Kings held a team meeting to discuss the dysfunction in the locker room. They came out motivated from the tip and drilled the Pistons in front of an engaged Sacramento crowd. Now can they make it last?
INJURY UPDATE
Both Darren Collison (left hamstring) and Seth Curry (right ankle) missed their third-straight game Wednesday night due to injury. Collison is hoping to return to the court on Friday. Curry’s availability is unknown at this time.
