OAKLAND -- The Warriors had six college players in for workouts on Tuesday morning at the team's downtown practice facility, but most of the attention was focused on swingman Jordan Hamilton from Texas and forward Chris Singleton of Florida State.Hamilton, 6-foot-7, averaged 18.6 points per game as a sophomore for the Longhorns this past season. He's considered a solid offensive player with range on his jump shot.Singleton is considered perhaps the best wing defender in the draft, and indicated he believed his ability on that side of the ball could allow him to play in his first season. Singleton was a two-time All-ACC defensive team selection.Singleton, 6-foot-8, played three years at Florida State and averaged 13.1 points per game this past season.
The Warriors also had in Jeremy Hazell from Seton Hall; Gary Johnson of Texas; Mychel Thompson for Pepperdine; and Chris Wright from Dayton.The Warriors will be holding periodic group workouts before the draft. The next workout is not yet scheduled, however the team expects the next one to be later in the week.
