Warriors rookie James Wiseman admitted Thursday he "made a huge mistake" in missing two mandatory coronavirus tests during the NBA All-Star break, and the 19-year-old center said he was only "human" for doing so.
"I make mistakes," Wiseman, the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, said in a video conference call with reporters following Golden State's lopsided 130-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.

"I'm human, and I completely forgot about the first two days of COVID testing, but I tested the last two days. But I completely forgot. I'm human, and I made a huge mistake. But I'll most definitely not do that again because I've gotta make sure [I'm] disciplined in terms of that."
Coach Steve Kerr said Wiseman didn't practice Wednesday because of a missed COVID-19 test. Kerr said before Thursday's game that Wiseman had been cleared to play but would not start, with Kevon Looney starting at center.
Wiseman ultimately didn't play the first three quarters, only coming off the bench for the fourth as the Warriors trailed 104-68. He played all 12 minutes of the period, scoring 14 points, grabbing seven rebounds and finishing a team-high plus-12.
