James Wiseman continues to progress in his rehab.
The Warriors' second-year center was assigned to the team's G League affiliate on Friday, where he will participate in a practice with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
There was some speculation that Wiseman will play in the Sea Dubs' G League contest Saturday against the Birmingham Squadron, but The Athletic's Anthony Slater reported that Wiseman won't play in Saturday's game.

The No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft underwent surgery on April 15 of last season and has not played since. But he has been making strides recently, as coach Steve Kerr said that he "looked good" in the Warriors' post-All-Star break scrimmage on Wednesday.
Warriors superstar Steph Curry echoed those sentiments.
"He looked good," Curry said Thursday night. "It's weird, because it was like that rusty first post-All-Star break scrimmage where the overall game was pretty sloppy, but he had a lot of good energy. He got that put-back dunk and is just kind of chomping at the bit to get to the next step of his return to play schedule.

"He's a beast when you look at him on the floor, especially with the rest of our team. With how quote, unquote undersized we are, he does stand out and can do some amazing things.

It is expected that Wiseman will play a few games for Santa Cruz before he makes his season debut for the big club. After Saturday, the Sea Dubs play Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of next week.
If all continues to go well, it's a good bet that Wiseman will appear in at least one of those games.
