Wiggins' daughter adorably broke All-Star starter news to him

Andrew Wiggins was fast asleep when news broke that he’d been named an NBA All-Star starter

Instead of finding out from a tweet by an NBA reporter, Wiggins’ girlfriend, Mychal, and daughter dropped a Woj bomb of their own.

“I was taking my little pregame nap and my girl and my daughter just woke me up and said, 'You're a starter! You're a starter!’ I thought I was dreaming for a second,” Wiggins said after Golden State’s 124-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday night.

After the wake-up call from his family, Wiggins dropped 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting to help the Warriors beat his former team.

"It was a good way to learn that I made it to the All-Star, and I'm thankful. I've been putting in a lot of work, and I found a home here. Hopefully I can keep it going.”

Wiggins joins LeBron James, Ja Morant, Nikola Jokic and his Warriors teammate Steph Curry as the five players starting for the Western Conference.

In 45 games this season, Wiggins is averaging 18.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest while shooting a career-high 41.2 percent from outside the arc.

“Hopefully it's not the last one,” Wiggins said of his All-Star nod. “Hopefully we keep going this year and we win a title. That's the next step.”
