Why Steve Kerr trash-talked Alvin Gentry after Warriors won 2015 title

Programming note: Watch the re-air of Game 6 of the 2015 NBA Finals between the Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers on  Saturday, April 11 at 8:00 p.m. PT on NBC Sports Bay Area.

The Warriors swept the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the 2015 NBA Playoffs.

A little over a month later, the Pelicans hired Alvin Gentry -- who was Golden State's associate head coach and preparing to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals -- as the franchise's new head coach.

In case you forgot -- during the champagne celebration in the locker room after the Warriors won the title, there was a hilarious moment between Dubs coach Steve Kerr, general manager Bob Myers and Gentry.

Kerr looked into the camera and said: "We're gonna kick the Pelicans' a-- next year."

Gentry then delivers a message to New Orleans star Anthony Davis: "Hey AD! AD! We're gonna be right back here."

Myers and Kerr then joke that Gentry needs to leave the locker room.

"Get outta here! You're not on the staff anymore," Kerr screams. "Security! Security! Take him outta here."

Kerr then signals to somebody off-camera and makes it clear that he only is kidding.
