Why Draymond is glad he forgot to bring rings to parade

Draymond Green has been in a fog since the Warriors won the NBA championship two weeks ago.

In fact, he was so foggy that he forgot to bring his rings to the championship parade last Monday.

Green revealed on his podcast this week that when he showed up to the parade in San Francisco, he saw teammates Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and team president Bob Myers with their rings and realized he didn’t have his rings.

“I had told myself days leading up to the parade, like 'I need to get my rings,’” Green said. “Because I don't keep them in the house. They're in a safe location. Like 'I need to get my rings.' ”

But he still forgot.

However, Green added that he was glad he didn’t actually bring his rings to the parade. He noted that Thompson actually lost one of his rings, though it was later recovered.

“But I'd be the one who definitely loses a ring, so it's probably best that I did not get my rings,” Green said. “And I talked my s--t anyway, like I have my rings, so it was great."

One thing remains true about Green, with or without his championship rings: He is always going to talk trash.
