Why Draymond is First-Team All-Defense on Zach Lowe's ballot

Draymond Green has been named to one of the NBA's two All-Defensive teams five times in his career.

The three-time NBA champion was First-Team All-Defense in 2015, 2016 and 2017, and Second-Team All-Defense in 2018 and 2019.

Is he going to earn another First-Team nod this season?

ESPN's Zach Lowe as of right now has Draymond as one of his top-five guys.

"I still think he's the single best help defender in the NBA, the smartest defender in the NBA [and] the most vocal defender in the NBA," Lowe said last week on his podcast. "He can defend every play type.

"If he's not as good as he was, he's still 95 percent as good. He's been amazing on defense."

Draymond's play on the defensive end of the floor without question is the main reason the Warriors boast the fifth-best defensive rating in the league, and are No. 3 in defensive field goal percentage.

The 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year truly can guard every player in the NBA, which is as rare as it gets.

Draymond reclaiming his spot might not be a sure thing, however, as ESPN's Tim Bontemps doesn't have him on his First-Team.

"I can't fault you for putting him on Second-Team because you only get five, so I can't yell at you," Lowe said to Bontemps. "Second-Team is a wonderful honor."
