Who Wiseman studies on Warriors, around NBA to improve

Watch and learn. While James Wiseman was cleared for full practice on Monday, the young Warriors center certainly has had plenty of time to do just that -- watch and learn -- ever since injuring his knee in April.

Luckily for Wiseman, he has two veteran teammates he can turn to with any question regarding Steve Kerr's system or any other questions about how to improve his game. The first name Wiseman brought up Monday to reporters was Kevon Looney. The second shouldn't come as a surprise.

"Him and Draymond are like the two essential pieces in terms of me becoming the best player that I can become," Wiseman said. "On the defensive end, I learn from Loon and just watch Draymond as well. Seeing how they react on defense and offense, just like their mindset -- everything."

Looney still is only 25 years old but is in his seventh season with the Warriors. He was the Warriors' first-round pick in 2015, ahead of Kerr's second season as Golden State's head coach.

Regarding Green, there's not much more to say. The 31-year-old is in his 10th season with the Warriors, and the three-time champion has seen it all. That isn't an exaggeration either. Triumph and heartbreak, Green has gone through both. He plays center at times and essentially is the Warriors' point guard.

There really isn't a better player to study if you want to know who the Warriors are as a whole.

But Wiseman does watch two other centers around the league as well.

With Butler's help, Warriors are getting their swagger back

"Rudy Gobert. I study Bam Adebayo. Kevon Looney, Draymond -- those four players are the primary players I study," Wiseman said.

Gobert is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, while Adebayo is one-time All-Star and twice has made the All-Defensive Team.

Wiseman now is cleared to do all team activities at practice aside from scrimmaging. His timetable to return to games still is unknown. For now, he'll continue taking important mental reps just as his physical reps ramp up.
