What Wiseman's Warriors rookie contract will look like

The Warriors selected James Wiseman with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft on Wednesday night, adding a player who figures to be a significant part of the franchise's present and future.

Wiseman, 19, likely will slide right into Golden State's starting lineup on Day 1. At 7-foot-1 and 245 pounds, he offers a combination of size and athleticism that the Warriors currently lack at the center position.

And as the No. 2 pick, Wiseman is set to sign a four-year contract worth up to $39.6 million, of which $18 million is guaranteed.

The final two years of Wiseman's rookie contract will be team options, which the Warriors are certain to pick up.

The center spot was a major hole the Warriors needed to fill this offseason, and now they've done it through the draft. The remaining holes on the roster likely will be filled through free agency and Golden State's two second-round picks.
