In the fourth quarter of the Warriors' game against the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night, Steph Curry often found himself tasked with guarding Mavs superstar Luka Doncic after Dallas targeted him on a switch.
After losing to Dallas 122-113 at American Airlines Center, Curry's late-game assignment, without any help from a double team, had some scratching their heads at the decision.
Doncic was asked after the game about Curry guarding him down the stretch and embraced the challenge from the Warriors' superstar.

"Attacking one of the best players is always good because they have to have energy at both ends," Doncic told reporters. "They have to be aggressive on offense and if you get them into the offensive stuff, they can wreck. I think that was a point."
With 6:28 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Warriors and Mavs were tied 104-104 before Dallas went on to outscore Golden State 18-9 to close out the game. Doncic finished with a whopping 41 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in 40 minutes of action. Curry also played 40 minutes but scored only 21 points with five rebounds and nine assists.
