Watch Smart's clumsy ‘kick' flagrant foul on Klay after Steph injury

Marcus Smart stirred the pot in a matter of seconds Wednesday night.

During the second quarter of the Warriors' 110-88 loss to Boston, Smart dove for a loose basketball in an attempt to keep the Celtics' offensive possession alive. In doing so, he rolled over the foot of Steph Curry, who exited the game due to left foot soreness after the play.

But Smart was not finished.

The eighth-year guard jumped back on his feet and sprinted down the floor to contest a shot near the basket by Klay Thompson. Thompson pump-faked once, which caused Smart to jump. When Smart realized Thompson hadn't released the basketball yet, he tried to make up for it with what appeared to be a swift karate kick to Thompson's chest. The ball flew out of bounds, and the Warriors -- and in particular, coach Steve Kerr -- were livid.

Smart was assessed a flagrant foul for the odd play.

Thankfully, Thompson was OK. Curry, meanwhile, underwent an MRI after the game to get clarity on his foot injury.
