James Wiseman saw his rookie season with the Warriors end prematurely after a meniscus injury, but a number of voters still believed he deserved a spot on one of the two NBA All-Rookie teams from the 2020-21 season.
Wiseman wasn't named to either the first or second-team Thursday, but he received three first-team votes and 18 second-team votes.
Wiseman averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds over 39 games with the Warriors after being the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The big man got off to a slow start this season after an illness kept him out of the majority of Warriors training camp.
Wiseman demonstrated positive signs in the games he was able to play in, but after just a three-game career in college, there still are many unknowns with the 20-year-old and how his game will evolve.
In an exclusive interview with NBC Sports Bay Area Warriors Insider Monte Poole this week, Wiseman gave himself a solid grade for his first professional season.
“I’d say probably a B-plus, I guess,” he told NBC Sports Bay Area. “Probably a B-plus, just because due to injuries and stuff. We get injured. That’s part of the game.

“But I’d say I did pretty good. I had a lot of ups and downs, but most of them were positive and I actually learned a lot this year.”

Wiseman now will have a full offseason to try and recover from the meniscus injury which cut his rookie campaign short.
