The other matchup to begin the season will be the Brooklyn Nets against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Warriors faced the Lakers four times last season, losing three of those contests, including a heartbreaker in the NBA play-in tournament. But both Golden State and LA should look much different this time around.
It's unknown right now if Klay Thompson will be available for the season opener after he continues to rehab from a torn Achilles. The return of Andre Iguodala will be anticipated, along with veteran free-agent additions in Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica. Coach Steve Kerr of course also has two lottery picks in Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody at his disposal.
