A bit of information surfaced Friday morning that certainly is of major interest to Warriors fans.
Stephen A. Smith said the following on ESPN's "First Take" show:
"[The] Philadelphia [76ers are] trying to claim that Philadelphia is not interested in moving Ben Simmons. Let me tell ya'll something -- that's a damn lie. That's a damn lie. They're just not interested in getting trash back for him.

"I believe the Golden State Warriors are going to make a push for Ben Simmons. So stay tuned. It's possible Ben Simmons could end up in Golden State with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
"I'm not saying it's gonna happen. But calls already have been made, things are percolating and it wouldn't surprise me at all if something like that ended up going down."
Well, well, well.
The fact that Smith didn't mention Andrew Wiggins almost assuredly means the 26-year-old would be headed to the 76ers in a potential trade.

The Warriors possess the rights to the No. 7 and No. 14 overall picks in the 2021 draft, and it's safe to assume that one -- or perhaps both -- of those assets would be involved.
Simmons finished runner-up for NBA Defensive Player of the Year this season, but struggled mightily on the offensive end during the 76ers' loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The No. 1 overall pick from the 2016 draft is under contract for the next four years at approximately $146.7 million.
