The Warriors on Thursday night selected Moses Moody with the No. 14 overall pick in the NBA draft.

The 19-year-old averaged 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals as a freshman at Arkansas last season, while shooting 42.7 percent overall, 35.8 percent from beyond the arc and 81.2 percent from the free throw line.

Moody is 6-foot-4.5 inches without shoes on and boasts a wingspan just under 7-foot-1.

He worked out for the Warriors on July 15, and went to dinner with various members of the front office the night prior.

"I would love to play for the Warriors -- somewhere that I can really develop," he told the media at the time. "You're learning how to play basketball at the highest level and the best way.

"I like to run the floor, space the floor, knock down shots."

Moody returned to Chase Center for a second workout last Sunday, so he clearly left a lasting impression on the franchise's decision-makers.

The Little Rock native is considered by many to be a classic "3-and-D" prospect. He joins No. 7 pick Jonathan Kuminga as the Warriors' draft haul from the lottery.
