Steph Curry and Vince Carter have a special relationship that dates back over 20 years.
Carter and Steph's father, Dell Curry, were teammates from 1999 through 2002 on the Toronto Raptors.
Dell would bring Steph and younger brother Seth to Raptors practice, and the former No. 5 overall draft pick would play 1-on-1 with the 11-year-old future two-time NBA MVP.

On Friday, Curry sent a message to Carter in response to the latter reflecting on his Hall of Fame-worthy career.
Carter never played for the Warriors, but he briefly was part of the organization before they traded him to the Raptors for Antawn Jamison on draft night in 1998.

There's no telling how Carter's career might have gone if the Warriors had held on to him, but there's a chance that if he had stayed with the Warriors long enough, he could have been a teammate with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Steph Curry.
