The Warriors have a lot of decisions to make this summer, and the biggest might be what to do if they land two lottery draft picks.
Heading into the June 22 NBA Draft Lottery, the Warriors are positioned to get the No. 6 overall pick via the Minnesota Timberwolves and the No. 14 overall pick.
A lot could change when the ping pong balls stop bouncing later this month, but if the Warriors stay in those two spots, they will have a chance to add two promising prospects to the roster.

In Kevin O'Connor's latest NBA Mock Draft for The Ringer, he has the Warriors drafting Baylor wing Davion Mitchell at No. 6. The defensive-minded Mitchell has been shooting up draft boards ever since his performance in the NCAA Tournament.
In helping Baylor knock off Gonzaga to win the national title in Indianapolis, Ind. in April, the 6-foot-2 Mitchell averaged 13.5 points, 5.7 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals in six March Madness games. Over the course of the 2020-21 season, Mitchell averaged 14.0 points, 5.5 assists and 1.9 steals in 30 games.
"Taking Mitchell is a win-now move," O'Connor wrote. "He can join any team and immediately be an impactful defender. But he has upside on offense after blossoming as a shot creator this past season. Mitchell is the type of player who could help the Warriors now and later."
The Georgia native had a breakout redshirt junior season from 3-point range, shooting 44.7 percent on 4.7 attempts per game in 30 contests. Mitchell could give the Warriors another shooter off the bench they desperately need.

With the last pick of the lottery, O'Connor has the Warriors taking standout Stanford freshman wing Ziaire Williams.
In 20 games for the Cardinal this past season, Williams averaged 10.7 points and 4.6 rebounds.
"Golden State has various wings who complement its stars, like Juan Toscano-Anderson and Andrew Wiggins," O'Connor wrote." Both of them provide defense, and Wiggins will get buckets. But the Warriors could use a high-upside wing like Williams, who brings size and scoring potential that could blossom next to Stephen Curry. Early in his career, he could carve out playing time coming off the bench as a defender."
While Mitchell is NBA-ready and could contribute on Day 1, Williams would be more of a project who needs time to develop and work on specific aspects of his game.

The Warriors still have to wait and see if they will get the Timberwolves' pick or if Minnesota retains the 2021 pick, thus conveying an unprotected 2022 first-round draft pick to Golden State.
But if the Warriors end up with two lottery picks, they will have plenty of options. They could draft players like Mitchell and Williams, stocking the cupboard for the future. Or they could try to package those two picks to acquire an established NBA player who can help them return to NBA title contention.
Whatever the Warriors do, they know the next two months are vitally important to their future success.
