Picking in the top two of an NBA draft has its advantages. Unlike lower selections, agents are more than willing to have their prospect fly in for a workout during the pre-draft process.
According to James Wiseman, the top-rated center prospect in the 2020 NBA Draft, he has only worked out for the Warriors and the Charlotte Hornets, the teams that currently hold picks No. 2 and No. 3.
"It would be great because they've won a lot of championships," Wiseman said of his fit with the Warriors during his Zoom interviews with media members on Monday. "Just being in that type of tradition, in that type of environment would be great for me."

The Warriors are expected to shop their pick all the way up until they on the clock. If they stay at No. 2 overall, Wiseman not only fills a position of need, but he has tremendous upside as a prospect.
It also makes a lot of sense that the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team with the top spot, is focused on other positions. They already have big man Karl-Anthony Towns manning the middle, and while Wiseman could anchor their defense, they have more pressing needs.
Nothing is off the table for the Warriors. With a little over 48 hours until the draft, it's a wide-open field.

Golden State has held an exhaustive search. The Warriors have worked out as many or more players than any other team in the draft. Wiseman would be a great fit with the team, but there are plenty of other options that will present themselves between now and Wednesday night when the draft festivities officially begin.
