Warriors star Kevin Durant was a man possessed in the first half against the Clippers on Friday night.

The most explosive offensive player in the world erupted for 38 points before halftime, tying an NBA postseason record for most points in the first half of a game.

Guess who Durant is tied with? Yep. Sir Charles Barkley.

NBC Sports Bay Area's Kerith Burke spoke to Durant before he went to the locker room and asked him if he felt he could score at will on this night.

"Yeah," Durant said.

Burke asked a follow-up question about the Warriors' defensive intensity and as Durant was answering the question, he stopped himself.

'Sorry, I'm a little gassed right now," Durant said.

Durant's huge first half helped the Warriors build a 72-53 lead over the Clippers.
