Warriors fans vote ‘Game 6' Klay Thompson as favorite version of star

And it was a landslide.

When Warriors fans were asked to choose their favorite version of Klay Thompson, here is how they voted:

So exactly how did the three-time NBA champion develop the "Game 6 Klay" nickname? Let's provide you with a few examples:

1) In Game 6 of the 2016 Western Conference finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder -- with the Warriors on the brink of elimination -- Klay scored a playoff-career-high 41 points. He drilled an NBA playoff single-game record 11 3-pointers.

2) In Game 6 of the 2018 Western Conference finals against the Houston Rockets -- with the Warriors on the brink of elimination again -- Klay racked up 35 points (13-for-23 overall, 9-for-14 3s) and four steals. Go watch the highlights. He was unreal amazing.

3) In Game 6 of the 2019 Western Conference semifinals against the Rockets, Klay scored 21 points in the first half when Steph Curry was struggling (0 points in the half). He then hit the dagger 3-pointer to seal the victory.

4) In Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors -- with the Warriors on the brink of elimination again -- Klay racked up 30 points before tearing his left ACL late in the third quarter. He then cemented himself as a legend forever:

It's surprising that "Game 6 Klay" didn't receive 100 percent of the votes.
