Warriors' Draymond Green impressed by San Francisco's Halloween scene

SAN FRANCISCO -- In his first Halloween as a San Fransico resident, Warriors forward Draymond Green says the city left quite an impression.

"That had to be some of the best trick-or-treating I've ever seen," he admitted following shootaround Friday morning.

Green, who officially moved out his previous home in Alamo, went trick-or-treating with his son Draymond Jr., fiance Hazel Joiner, and her daughter Thursday evening in San Francisco.

"The decorations were absurd and everybody participated. It was like full candy stores over there. Big bars of Snickers ... and Reese's and Starbursts and Twix. It was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen.

"Some people even had a food truck to go in their home," Green added. "It was the most incredible thing I've ever seen. I don't want to give them people's street away, that we were on, but they know where we were."

As for his kids, Green said the two didn't quite understand the meaning of trick-or-treating. On one occasion, Draymond Jr .refused sweets from the candy givers.

"They don't really get it," Green said. "My daughter gets it, she understood a little more, but DJ, on the other hand, pickiest kid you've ever seen in your life."

"We get home last night and I'm checking through their bag of candy and I'm like 'they don't realize where they were," Green added. "Because the amount of candy you have in this bag and the amount of candy that was on that street, it just didn't add up."

As for the environment, Green said his presence in the neighborhood did prompt autograph and picture seekers. However, of the kids dressed in Warriors gear, he didn't see any familiar jerseys.

"More so Steph [Curry] and Kevin Durant," he said. "Not quite me."

Still, Green promised to be present alongside his kids' Halloween adventures for years to come.

"I'm excited to know as they get older," Green said. "We've got a place to go get candy bars and as I get older and I retire, I can get eat up all their candy."
