Warriors' Curry racks up another 20-point quarter

Steph Curry scored 28 points in the third quarter Wednesday night, as the Warriors took a 93-72 lead over the Hornets entering the fourth quarter in Charlotte.

Curry, who had 40 points through three quarters, equaled his career-high for points in a quarter, set 32 days ago in a victory at New Orleans.

This is the fifth time in 21 games this season that Curry has scored at least 20 points in a quarter.

Oklahoma City star Russell Westbrook led the NBA in that category last season . . . with four.

Also of note, Curry scored the last 24 points in the quarter for the Warriors.
