OAKLAND -- It was a sight not seen since November, and it sent a Friday-night ripple of joy and hope through the early crowd at Oracle Arena.
Stephen Curry was back on the basketball court.
However . . . there still is no timetable for his return, much less any expectation he will play when the Warriors and Cavaliers clash on Christmas Day.

“I would be shocked,” Kerr said two hours before tipoff against the Lakers. “We haven’t made that determination. We haven’t even discussed it. But he’s moving better and better. He’ll probably do more court work maybe Sunday.
“In my mind, even if he came in and said, ‘I feel great,’ it would be irresponsible to play him. As much as everybody wants to see him -- as much as I want to see him on the floor -- we’ve got to be smart with this. So, 99.999 percent that he’s out.”
Curry has missed seven games and essentially been out of view since spraining his right ankle on Dec. 4 in New Orleans. There he was, though, coming out of the home locker room about 90 minutes before tipoff to get in a workout. He put up some shots, ran up and down the floor and worked himself into a pretty good sweat.
How did he look? Good, for a guy who spent nearly a week in a walking boot and only began lateral workouts last week.

He has not yet gone through a practice with his teammates, though, and is not scheduled for another examination until after Christmas.
