Warriors break all-time record for 3-pointers in one season

The 2015-16 Golden State Warriors are now the greatest 3-point shooting team in NBA history. 

In the fourth quarter of Friday's game against the Mavericks, the Warriors hit their 934th 3-pointer on the season. Klay Thompson drained a 3-pointer from the top of the key, giving the Warriors a 105-94 lead.

Last year's Houston Rockets held the previous record with 933.

Golden State entered the game with 917 makes from beyond the arc. They made 21 shots from 3-point range in their 128-120 victory over the Mavs, giving them 938 on the season.

Thompson broke his season-high for 3-pointers made with his 240th from downtown, earlier in the game. His fellow Splash Brother, Steph Curry, already broke his own record for most 3-pointers in a single season.

Curry has made 348 3-pointers and counting so far this season.
