SAN DIEGO – The Warriors are slowly getting back to full-squad status, but center Andrew Bogut isn’t quite able to return.
Bogut underwent surgery Monday morning to reset a broken nose sustained last Thursday against the Rockets. He is not expected to join the team in Southern California for games Tuesday night against the Clippers and Thursday night against the Lakers.
It is anticipated that Bogut could be cleared in time for the regular-season opener Oct. 27 at Oracle Arena.

“Hopefully, opening night he’ll be ready to go,” interim head coach Luke Walton said Monday afternoon. “But if not, we won’t rush him back either. It’s a long season, so whenever he’s ready to go we’ll get him out there.”
Returning to action for the first time in a week is forward Harrison Barnes, who missed two preseason games after sustaining a bone bruise to his right knee. He is expected to play Tuesday night at Staples Center.
“It was nice to have him back at practice today,” Walton said.

Klay Thompson also rejoined the team Monday, after spending three days away to attend a funeral. He participated in practice, said he feels fine and also will be in the lineup Tuesday night.
The most uncertain future of all belongs to coach Steve Kerr. Though he attended practice Monday at UC-San Diego, Kerr offered no hint as to when he might return to the bench.
Kerr has been on indefinite leave of absence since Sept. 30, as he recovers from two surgeries on his back.
