Warriors best on-paper team ever? Durant disagrees with claim

Kevin Durant won the MVP in 2014, has been named First-Team All-NBA five times and Second-Team All-NBA once, and has seven straight All-Star nods.

Steph Curry is the reigning back-to-back MVP and became the first unanimous winner in NBA history.

Draymond Green was just named Second-Team All-NBA and finished seventh in the MVP voting, and Klay Thompson has been a Third-Team All-NBA selection two years in a row.

Andre Iguodala was the NBA Finals MVP in 2015.

"I wouldn't say we're the best on-paper team in NBA history," Durant said in an interview with Sina. "This is not the first time good players have been on the same team.

"But with the hype around the NBA right now, and the way social media is, everybody is saying that. But so many teams had great players. Not just us."

Is it championship or bust next year?

"I never fall into that trap," Durant answered. "I want to win a championship, but you gotta play great basketball to win a championship. And those guys were so close last year, but they're so hungry this year to get back.

"I want to help them, and I want to be the guy that takes them over the top."

How will the Warriors share the ball next season, because there's only one ball to go around?

"We don't have any selfish players on the team," Durant declared. "I think everybody is expecting us to play selfish but guys want to go out there and just win and play the right way, and that's what they've been doing.

"It's on me to come in there and adapt to what they've been doing. And it's going to take some time but I'm gonna get used to it pretty quick."
