The Warriors limped their way into the All-Star break with a 120-98 defeat against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.
Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Kelly Oubre Jr. each missed the contest due to rest or other ailments and backup point guard Brad Wanamaker also suffered a minor right ankle injury. With about 7:35 left in the fourth quarter, Wanamaker landed awkwardly after attempting a floater in the lane.
“Tweaked his ankle,” coach Steve Kerr told reporters in his postgame video conference. “I don’t think it’s bad. So, hopefully he’ll be fine when he comes back from the break.”

The Warriors had to play the next possession with four defenders before Wanamaker eventually limped off the floor.
The good news?
The Warriors don’t have a game again until March 11 against the Los Angeles Clippers, giving him a week of recovery time.

The other news?
Jordan Poole scored 26 points and Nico Mannion looked energized as they returned from the G League bubble.
Wanamaker has been the target of criticism this year for his subpar play, especially with scoring and facilitating the second unit. The 31-year-old is averaging 4.8 points and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 35.8 percent from the field and 23.2 percent from 3-point range.
The Warriors envisioned a Shaun Livingston-type role for Wanamaker this year, but he hasn’t been able to have the same impact as the former Dubs backup point guard. The young guys behind Wanamaker could make Kerr re-think his rotation in the second half.
