The Warriors came out of the locker room after halftime of Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals with their usual third-quarter adjustments and blitzed the Boston Celtics with a 38-24 period, taking a 12-point lead into the final 12 minutes.
But no lead is comfortable against this Celtics team, and the Warriors found out in stunning fashion as Boston dropped a historic 40-16 fourth quarter at Chase Center to take the first game of the series 120-105.
The Celtics made 15-of-22 shots in the fourth quarter, including 9-of-12 from 3-point range while the Warriors went 7-of-17 in the fourth.

At one point in the quarter, the Celtics went on 17-0 run that spanned just over five minutes of game action.
The Warriors lost their first playoff game at Chase Center this season, and it's only the third time they have lost a Game 1 of a playoff series in the Steve Kerr era.
