Thompson back, Draymond absent from Warriors practice

OAKLAND – The absence of Draymond Green at practice Monday was offset, just a bit, by the return of Klay Thompson and the belief that Leandro Barbosa will rejoin the Warriors in time for the game Tuesday night against Toronto.

Green has been battling flu for about a week and finally took a personal timeout in hopes of being able to play against the Raptors.

“Knowing Draymond, I would assume he tries to play,” interim coach Luke Walton said. “Right now, we’re trying to quarantine him so he doesn’t get anyone else sick. We’ll see how he feels tomorrow, but we went through practice today as if he wouldn’t be playing tomorrow.

“But, obviously, that could change.”

Thompson, sidelined by back spasms, missed Saturday’s win over Brooklyn. His back has been problematic most of the season, but Thompson generally tried to play through it.

He is listed as probable for Tuesday.
