Steph ruled out, Oubre to play in Warriors-Grizzlies game

The Warriors will be without their top offensive threat for Friday's game in Memphis against the Grizzlies.

Steph Curry was ruled out ahead of Friday's contest in Memphis, Warriors coach Steve Kerr confirmed in a pregame call with the media.

Curry took a hard fall late during a win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday that left him with a bruised tailbone.

Curry was listed on the injury report Thursday as doubtful, and Kerr said he remains doubtful for Saturday's back-end of the back-to-back in Memphis.

Kelly Oubre also was doubtful on Thursday's injury report, but Kerr said he will "give it a go" after going through the shootaround on Friday.

Oubre hurt his foot while going up for an offensive rebound in the fourth quarter Wednesday, although he was able to finish the game in Houston.

Jordan Poole, who has been red-hot since returning to the Warriors after a stint in the G League, will start in Curry's place.

Curry has missed two games for the Warriors this season, and his absence will lead to an increased reliance on Andrew Wiggins and Poole to manufacture offense against a Grizzlies team just behind Golden State in the Western Conference standings.
