Steph Curry has faith that Jordan Poole will turn his play around.
Speaking with reporters after practice Sunday, Curry explained that his 23-year-old teammate shouldn't dwell too much on all the outside noise and that the Warriors are standing by him, no matter what happens.
"We are all extremely confident in what he provides for us, what he can do out there and keeping it positive, just how you approach the game," Curry said. "And that's what I love about him. He has great energy and making or missing the shots, it's going to happen."
The Warriors hope the shots start falling for Poole sooner rather than later.
In 10 playoff games so far, Poole is averaging 11.6 points, 3.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds on 35.5 percent shooting from the field and 28.8 percent from beyond the arc.
For comparison, Poole averaged 20.0 points, 5.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds on 52.6 percent shooting from the field and 43.1 percent from the 3-point line in his first 10 playoff games last season.
Whether that steep drop in production is due to defenses knowing what to expect when Poole gets the ball or other factors is unclear. Against the Lakers, Poole is averaging 10.7 points, 5.0 assists and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 40 percent from the field and nailing 35.5 percent of his 3s.

Still, Curry is confident that good things are headed his young teammate's way, so long as he keeps working at it, especially after a rough Game 3 loss.
"So, it's just a matter of sticking with it, because you'll get rewarded in the big picture and especially because we do have a lot of confidence in what he provides for us and what he's capable of doing," Curry concluded.

Despite more attention being paid to Golden State's 23-year-old guard, it's clear Curry and the rest of the Warriors still believe in Poole's ability to be a game-changer.
And with the Warriors looking to bounce back in Game 4, that seemingly will be the perfect time to see a Poole Party in Los Angeles.
