But the momentum quickly changed in the third quarter as the Americans opened with a 7-0 run and finished the stanza on an 18-5 burst that saw them take a 74-55 lead into the fourth quarter, eventually earning a 97-78 win to soar into the Gold Medal Game.

Team USA now heads into a rematch against Rudy Gobert, Evan Fournier and France in the Gold Medal Game. France handed the Americans an 83-76 loss to open group play.
After the win, Green slapped Durant on the backside and had a message as Team USA eyes its fourth straight Olympic Gold Medal.
“We got one more to finish the f--king mission,” Draymond Green said, via Mark Woods.
Team USA and France will play on Saturday in Toyko (Friday night in the USA), with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m. PT on Friday night.
