Even in his 13th NBA season, Steph Curry is playing some of the best basketball of his NBA career. While his success on the offensive end has been no surprise, Curry also has ratcheted things up on the defensive end.
Steph currently has the best individual defensive rating of his NBA career, and has his highest defensive box plus-minus since 2015-16. When asked after Thursday night's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers about his potential to be an All-Defensive selection, Curry had a funny response.
"If you want to start that narrative for me, please by all means, I will happily do my part to make you a prophet my man," Curry said to Clutchpoints' Mark Haynes during his postgame press conference.

The Warriors had one of their best defensive performances of the season in the fourth quarter of Thursday night's win, turning a 13-point deficit entering the final frame into a 15-point victory over the Cavaliers. The Warriors outscored Cleveland 36-8 in the fourth, with Curry outscoring the Cavs' entire team in the last 12 minutes.
Draymond Green seems like a lock for the first team at this point, as he remains one of the league's most elite overall defenders. But perhaps we will see Curry earn his first All-Defensive team selection, as he also chases a third NBA MVP trophy.
