Warriors guard Stephen Curry has never won a Finals MVP award, but could be well on his way after the first two games of the NBA Finals. Curry scored a game-high 33 points in a 122-103 win over the Cleveland Cavalaiers in Game 2 on Sunday, and broke a Finals record in the process.
The two-time MVP broke Ray Allen's record for 3-pointers in an NBA Finals game, hitting nine triples on 17 attempts against Cleveland. He'd sniffed the record before, hitting seven 3-pointers in three separate Finals games.
In 2015, Curry made seven triples in Games 3 and 5 of the Finals. He did it again the following year in Game 5, Golden State's last win of the series before losing a 3-1 lead.

Curry and Allen are the only players in NBA history that have made at least seven 3-pointers in a game multiple times. Curry's now done it four times, and Allen's done it twice in his career.
