The Warriors (50-5) lead the Spurs (47-9) by 3.5 games for the top spot in the Western Conference.
“We’ve had a lot of great years and this one is a historic one, like the best one in the history of the Spurs. And nobody talks about it because Golden State is chasing history," Tony Parker recently told Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports. "It’s just unbelievable to have two teams with such a great record. Golden State deserves all the praise. They’ve been playing unbelievable.
“It’s hard to get 72 wins with the schedule and the back-to-back games, especially in the West with all the good teams. For us, we just focus on what we can do. It’s almost like Pop doesn’t care about our record. He is like, ‘Don’t look at the record. We have to beat Golden State, OKC and the Clippers, basically, to get to the Finals.”

Parker struggled to the tune of five points and three turnovers. He played just 18 minutes.
Steph Curry, meanwhile, recorded 37 points, five steals and just one turnover.
Since the matchup, Spurs players and coaches alike have praised Golden State effusively.

But they are eagerly awaiting Round 2 on March 19 in San Antonio.
"Yeah. We care. We want to win a championship," Parker told Spears. "You judge yourself to the defending champs. I can’t wait."
The Warriors host the Spurs on April 7, and play in San Antonio again on April 10.
