Jordan Poole’s highlight-reel play Sunday night left even himself a bit lost for words.
With four minutes to play in the second quarter of the Warriors’ 94-92 win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday night, Poole crossed half court with the basketball. He took four dribbles with his right hand and executed a head fake so ferocious it sent Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson tumbling to the floor.
Cool, calm and collected, Poole nailed a 3-pointer from the top of the arc as Clarkson could only watch from the hardwood.

SIGN UP HERE “Coach just drew the play up for me, wanted me to be aggressive,” Poole told NBC Sports Bay Area after the game. “… I worked on that move all summer. It was good to see it work in the game.”
However, in his postgame press conference to the general media, Poole was rather speechless. He was asked if having an opposing player sitting on the court after being embarrassed by a great move makes the ensuing shot attempt harder or easier.
Perhaps not wanting to bury Clarkson even further, Poole thought about his answer for 10 seconds.
“Um, I have no idea,” he said before breaking into a big smile. “Yeah, it’s a good question for sure.”
It wasn’t the first time Poole made a trip around NBA Twitter in the past week. During Golden State’s 105-103 victory over the Houston Rockets on Friday, Poole had a classic reaction to a bad out-of-bounds call.

Poole, who knocked down four 3-pointers against Utah and finished with a team-high 20 points, has now scored 20 points in back-to-back games and at least 20 in his last four starts.
