The Warriors' critical offseason hits the next stage Thursday where the Warriors have two picks in the lottery -- No.7 and No. 14.
Everything is on the table for the Warriors as Golden State looks to upgrade the roster around Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Orchestrating a blockbuster trade for a star or adding multiple proven veterans would be the best outcome for the Warriors. But if neither of those scenarios materializes, could Golden State try to move up in the first round Thursday night?
If the Warriors do find a way to trade up, NBA draft insider Chad Ford reported Wednesday that Golden State will be doing so with Gonzaga guard Jalen Suggs as the target.

If Suggs is indeed the player who Warriors president Bob Myers and coach Steve Kerr are coveting, the Toronto Raptors, who own the rights to the No. 4 pick, likely would be Golden State's best chance at finding a trade partner.
The Raptors reportedly are interested in Florida State forward Scottie Barnes and could make the No. 4 pick available to trade down, The Athletic's Sam Vecenie reported last week. With two lottery picks and 2020 No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman, the Warriors should have the requisite draft capital to entice the Raptors should Toronto decide moving back is in its best interest.

Moving from No. 7 to No. 4 likely would cost the Warriors the No. 14 overall pick and probably a future pick if they wanted to hang on to Wiseman.
It's easy to see why the Warriors would be interested in Suggs. The 20-year-old has very few holes in his game and would be able to play alongside Curry, Thompson and Green, giving the Warriors another ball-handler who can initiate the offense, create his own shot and get to the rim.
Suggs' 3-point shot needs a little refinement, but he did hit 33.7 percent of his attempts from distance during his lone season at Gonzaga.
Adding Suggs would give the Warriors a young combo guard with All-Star upside who can play a role off the bench next season and potentially grow into the franchise's next star along with Wiseman.
The Warriors just have to find a team that is willing to make a deal.
