Gary Payton II is expected to return to the Warriors soon.
Golden State plans on signing the guard at some point this weekend, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater.

It's unclear if he will be available for Sunday's showdown against the Memphis Grizzlies at Chase Center.
Payton II was with the Warriors for much of April, and had a couple nice performances in limited action.

It's safe to assume that any aspect of his contract beyond this season will be non-guaranteed.
"We love Gary. He's played really well," Steve Kerr told the media in late April. "He's somebody who we'd feel like we'd love to have back."
