Report: Warriors sign Alfonzo McKinnie to two-way contract

The Warriors rewarded Alfonzo McKinnie.

Golden State signed the 26-year old wing to a two-way contract, league sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

But as Charania tweeted: "This could be a procedural move for McKinnie to negotiate newer deal."

A newer deal would be some form of a guaranteed contract down the line (and perhaps even before the regular season opener next Tuesday).

McKinnie registered 10 points and four rebounds in 14 minutes against the Lakers on Wednesday night.

The Warriors still have only 13 players with guaranteed contracts and will definitely add a 14th over the next couple of days.

A reunion with Pat McCaw remains possible so stay tuned...
