NBA Insider Marc Stein reported earlier Monday, citing league sources, that the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets both are in pursuit of Mills, a native of Australia.
ESPN's Jordan Schultz reported, citing league sources, that the Lakers and Warriors are making a run at Mills, with the Nets seeming less likely.
Mills, who turns 33 on Aug. 11, played the first two years of his NBA career in Portland, but has spent the last 10 seasons in San Antonio.

Last season, Mills averaged 10.8 points and 2.4 assists in 68 games. He shot 41.2 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from 3-point range. In 2019-20, Mills averaged a career high 11.6 points per game in 66 contests. So he is coming off the best two-season scoring stretch of his career.
If the Warriors are able to land Mills, he would be an instant offensive threat for coach Steve Kerr's second unit.
