One week to go.
The 2021 NBA Draft is set for July 29, and all eyes are on the Warriors. Golden State has a rare opportunity with two lottery picks at No. 7 and No. 14 this year. Will the Warriors keep both of them or dangle at least one in a trade package?
In his latest mock draft, The Ringer's Kevin O'Connor reported Thursday morning, citing league sources, that the Warriors are "highly active in trade talks" surrounding their top pick.
Speculation can run rampant without any names attached to trade rumors. There should be some big stars available, though. Imagine Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal, Pascal Siakam or another star teaming up with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
There's no doubt that's what Bob Myers, Joe Lacob and Co. are doing right now.
The Warriors' window of opportunity is shrinking. Curry just led the NBA in scoring, but he's 33 years old. Thompson has missed two straight seasons to leg injuries and is 31. Green still can be a defensive anchor, but he's coming off his worst offensive season in years and is 31.

Golden State Warriors
Of course, the Warriors want sustained, long-term success, and players like James Wiseman and two lottery picks can help that. At the same time, they can't waste the prime of three Hall of Fame players. Time is ticking away.
It's unknown at this time who the Warriors are zeroing in on trade-wise. What we do know is a lot can happen in one week's time.
