The Warriors are reportedly on the verge of making a hire.

Aaron Miles is expected to be named head coach of the Santa Cruz Warriors, according to Adam Johnson of 2ways10days.com.

Casey Hill -- who recently became the head coach of the Clippers' G League affiliate -- was at the helm for the past four seasons.

Miles played his college ball at Kansas, where he averaged 6.9 assists per game over four seasons with the Jayhawks.

He went undrafted in 2005, but signed with the Warriors and appeared in 19 games for Golden State during the 2005-06 campaign.

The Portland native played overseas for many years before retiring following the 2014-15 season.

He returned to his alma mater for one year as assistant director of student-athlete development.
