McKinnie agreed to a deal with the Warriors in early September, and entered training camp on a non-guaranteed basis.
The 26-year old made his NBA debut last season, appearing in 14 games for the Raptors. Over 35 appearances for Toronto's G League affiliate (Raptors 905), he registered 14.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest, while shooting 35 percent from deep.
After going undrafted in 2015, McKinnie played professionally in Luxembourg and Mexico, and suited up for the G League's Windy City Bulls in 2016-17.
In other news, the Warriors officially waived Deyonta Davis, Danuel House, Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Ulis. They are expected to end up in Santa Cruz.
It's also possible that one of them will snag the final two-way contract that Golden State has available.
