The Warriors were interested in signing Mills, who played two seasons of college basketball at Saint Mary's from 2007 to 2009.
The 12-year veteran averaged 10.8 points and 2.4 assists over 68 games last season with the San Antonio Spurs, while shooting 37.5 percent from deep (on 6.3 attempts).
Mills has played very well against the Warriors throughout his career, as his 10.7 points per game average vs. the Dubs is his fourth-highest mark against any team in the NBA.
