Mark Jackson has not landed a coaching gig since being fired from the Warriors in 2014, but he is reportedly interested in the latest NBA head-coaching vacancy.
Jackson, a native of Brooklyn, is expected to push for the Nets job recently made available by the departure of Lionel Hollins, according to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.

Early Sunday, team owner Mikhail Prokhorov cut ties with Hollins in addition to reassigning GM Billy King. Assistant coach Tony Brown will take over for Hollins in the interim.
Jackson returned to his broadcasting position with ESPN for the 2014-15 season, and has continued to man that post this season. While rumors have tied him to several head coaching roles since his departure from Golden State, he has not emerged as a serious candidate for any teams.
More recently, Jackson has been in the news for remarking that Warriors star Stephen Curry is "hurting the game" of basketball.
