Report: Kirilenko on Warriors' wish list

Andrei Kirilenkos current home is nearly 6,000 miles away from Oracle Arena. The Warriors are hoping hes open to relocating.

Kirilenko is on the Warriors' wish list, according to a report by the Contra Costa Times.

Though the chances of acquiring Kirilenko must be considered slim at this point, the six-foot-nine forward would present an intriguing option for Golden State -- and could build better Warriors memories than getting posterized by Baron Davis.

Kirilenko is a proven shooter and can hit from long range. He made 41.7 percent of his three-point attempts for CSKA Moscow last season. Even after factoring in that the Euroleague three-point line is more than a foot and a half shorter than the NBA three-point line, Kirilenko still has to be respected with the ball around the arc.

Although at just 235 pounds, Kirilenko does not add much strength to the Warriors, especially if they try to use him at power forward, the 31-year-old is a solid defensive player. In 10 seasons in the NBA, he averaged two blocks and 1.4 steals per game and was named to the All-Defensive first team once and second team twice.

Kirilenko still may opt to stay with CSKA Moscow, where he earned Euroleague MVP honors last season. Kirilenko averaged 14.1 points and 7.5 rebounds last season, hitting nearly 60 percent of his shots from the floor.

If he chooses to return to the NBA, Kirilenko might be inclined to sign with the Brooklyn Nets and play for countryman and Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov. Nets general manager Billy King told FOX Sports Radio that the Nets are talking with Kirilenko.
